We will be inhabiting the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Regional Conservation Area. A reserve of 445,000 hectares and offers a unique opportunity for scientists, students and travelers to participate in scientific research.

Tahuayo Main Lodge
Tahuayo Lodge, our accommodation located in the heart of the Amazon, is not a tourist center, nor a hotel, but a comfortable accommodation, suitable for adventurous travelers who want to experience the Amazon jungle. Tahuayo Lodge's vision is to provide its guests with the most comforts of home while remaining deeply connected to the nature around them. The lodge offers all-inclusive Peruvian/international style buffet meals, private bathrooms, and (limited) electricity provided by solar panels.

LA BAITA CONGUILLÍO, nos ofrece cabañas compartidas en un espacio independiente, siendo la elección perfecta para familias o grupos de amigos que desean disfrutar de forma autónoma durante su estancia.
Disfruta de la comodidad de un hogar rodeado por la impresionante belleza del entorno natural. Todas las cabañas están equipadas con sistemas de calefacción a leña y cocinas que cuentan con los utensilios esenciales. Las 3 cabañas que tendremos a disposición en nuestro retiro, se encuentran cercanas al restaurante y la sala de yoga.
La Baita cuenta con tinajas, restaurante, habitaciones privadas, cabañas y espacios comunes llenos de historia y calidez para disfrutar de un buen libro o un descanso perfecto para reponer energías y seguir con los que haceres de la vida.

ITINERARY
October 16 - Arrival in Iquitos before 1:00 p.m.
-Transfer from the airport to the Tahuayo Lodge: approximately 4 hours of travel by van until we reach the port, then we will take a boat quickly, crossing the Amazon River, then we will navigate the Tahuayo River until we reach the Lodge.

October 16-19 we will stay at Tahuayo Lodge and we will have the following activities:
-Yoga classes at sunrise
-Workshops
-Sighting of pink dolphins at dawn in Lake Charo
-Walk through the jungle and recognize different types of primates
-Fishing in Lake Charo and the possibility of eating the food for dinner
-Canopy
-Sighting of sloth bears, falcons, birds of prey and other types of wildlife
-Cultural visit to the El Chino community and the artisan women
-Walk in the valley of the frogs (we can find different colored frogs)
-Canoeing in different ecosystems
October 19-21 we will host at the Amazon Research Center
-Full day hike to Lake Yarina. We will see macaws, alligators and other species.

October 21, return to Iquitos
-Sunrise on the river, return to the Tahuayo Lodge, wildlife sighting.
